CHROMA is a large scale multimedia A/V performance created using creative coding and 3D motion graphics.Previously it has been shown in different versions. CHROMA was included in the UNITY projection mapping exhibition held in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia by media arts collective FILAMEN. The organization NEO SHIBUYA showed a 1 minute version of CHROMA on over 50 screens throughout Miyashita Park in Shibuya.

first realized and released in 2021 as an nft project. inspired the brilliance of buddhist art and temples, SPHERE C:0x OBJEKTS was designed as a series of "objkets that are really 3D architectural garden objekts similar to bonzai trees deep in their inner and outer dimensions. the project was reimagined in 2023 as a spatial interactice game.

The cassette release of Burst into Flame like Me was influenced by the mixtape culture that flourished during the inception of drum and bass. Two videos were produced to promote the release. Gradience was created with creative coding and The Holy Grail was created with 3D software.

CHROMATIC LACK OF GRAVITY
CHROMATIC LACK OF GRAVITY is a two album project of CHROMATIC LACK OF GRAVITY and its ambient sister album CHROMATIC LACK OF AMBIENCE. Created while infected with covid during the long quarantine required period of the Pandemic, the long period of isolation inspired the theme of the loss of gravity on Earth with the moon a lost object in space. The loss of free will a commonality. However the heavy beat orientated first album and moody ambience of the second suggest a return to normal coming.

Kinnara : Desi La is a versatile Creative prolific as an electronic musician, 3D motion artist, graphic designer, and creative coder working across genres. A futurist focused on expressing the rhythms of the new technological and architectural world through his art. Kinnara : Desi La bridges his work between live performance works like his recently completed CHROMA A/Vperformance work, multi-thematic music releases and his abstract mixed media spatial game / gallery in web3.
As a musician, Kinnara : Desi La has released 20 recordings, toured China, Japan, and the USA. In visual arts, as a graphic designer, he is working in Japan and the USA. As a visual artist, his work has been shown in Japan, Malaysia, Indonesia, the USA, and Europe.
CHROMA, Kinnara : Desi La`s largest multi-media project, began in 2019 with javascript creative coding and evolved into 3D motion graphics, music releases and exhibits. CHROMA was included in the UNITY projection mapping exhibition held in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia by media arts collective FILAMEN. Another form of CHROMA was shown in the online festival EXTENDED.ASIA hosted from Indonesia. The organization NEO SHIBUYA showed a 1 minute version of CHROMA on over 100 screens throughout Miyashita Park in Shibuya. A longer version of CHROMA debuted at the ARS ELECTRONICA sponsored online meta verse festival, TOKYO PORTAL. A section of CHROMA was also included in an Afrofuturism exhibition held online by NEW YORK LIVE ARTS.
As the world has changed, so has Kinnara: Desi La`s new focus into NFT/metaverse technology. He has created numerous NFTs and hosted them on platforms OPENSEA, ZORA, FOUNDATION, and HEN. This new form of expression has opened a new window of creativity allowing new styles to emerge from his imagination. His NFTs have gained recognition and been shown in Crypto Art Week Asia in July 2021. In 2022, Kinnara : Desi La`s NFTs were shown and put on sale by large auction house, SHINWA AUCTIONS for their SHINWA Digital Art Week. Kinnara : Desi La`s audiovisual work was simultaneously displayed in Singapore in September for the Instinc : D Art Festival `22 “Ignite the Future” and in EXTENDED.ASIA`s exhibit humbly invited to the Singapore Biennale. Kinnara : Desi La, originally from NYC has lived in Japan for over 23 years.In 2022, he released “Chromatic Lack of Gravity” and its sister release “Chromatic Lack of Ambience.” This year of 2023, Kinnara : Desi La celebrates his 20th release with a drum and bass ep called “Burst into Flames like Me.” With the audiovisual performance work CHROMA completed, Kinnara : Desi La will tour the piece internationally. Kinnara : Desi La has been active in music for over 12 years and visual art for over 9 years.
